Overview

ISO 9001:

Quality
Advanced Sheet Metal Engineering has a formal quality system to ISO 9001:2008 which has been approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Ltd.

Technical
Advanced Sheet Metal can receive and on drawings by email . Supported formats are:

  • Unigraphics
  • eDrawings (eprt,easm,edrw)
  • Solidworks files (sldpt,sldasm,slddrw)
  • Dxf (dxf)
  • Dwg (dwg)
  • Par,psm,dft

Once these files have been received by our engineering development and design staff use the most up to date software in the production of customer products. All product design and development is produced on Our Radan Cad/Cam workstations. All punch programs are produced using our CAD software is nested for optimized sheet utilization.

Planning and Production Control
Work Examples Once an order has been placed it is entered into our MRP system Sage manufacturing, producing root cards, pick lists and component part purchase orders. Production capacity’s and lead times are scheduled by the system given our customers real time access to production status of their products.

Manufacturing
All manufacturing is carried out by state of the art CNC machines linked to each other by our network. By single sourcing all our CNC machines from LVD all the manufacturing is seamlessly linked in perfect harmony. Programs are transferred to our LVD Delta 1250 RS punch press (New 2006)

The Delta machine use sheet sizes up to 1250 X 2500mm for optimized nesting with sheet thickness up to 6.4 mm. With 3 auto-index stations with multi tool holders give a turret capacity of over punches.
With over 2500 punches, dies, forming and shaping tools there are not many shapes we can not produce.

For forming we have two LVD CNC Brake Press ranging in size from our PPRM 35/12 – 35 ton by 1.25 meter (49.2″) New 2008, to our state of the art PPEB 110/30 – 110 ton by 3.0 meter (New 2003), with 8 axis control. Almost any shape is possible with out the need for special tooling. Full offline integration and programming via CADMAN-B 3D software. We have a vast selection of tooling to suit the most challenging of designs

For the fitting of self clinch fasteners, Hank bushes and studs we have two Hager insert press, these high speed machines ensure that all inserts are correctly fitted time after time.

Welding and Fabrication
MIG, TIG, Spot weld, Stud weld and Synginic welding of Mild, Stainless Steel, Nickel alloys and Aluminum are undertaken in our welding shop; there are four welding bays with MIG and TIG sets available. All our welders are BSEN287 BSEN ISO 15614-1:2004 approved. We take on fabrications up to 6.0 meters long

Finishing and Assembly
We offer a comprehensive range of finishes in Powder Coating, Stove Enameling and Electroplating. After finishing components move to our assembly area where we can carry out additional work such as product assembly, screen printing, fitting of components, packing and dispatch to national and international destinations.

Storage/Kanban
We have a large storage facility where finished goods can be kept in line with KANBAN/JIT procedures.
